My name is David Ochieng, and for most of my life, I believed my role was to protect others. I lived in Kisumu town, where I worked as a procurement officer while running a small side business supplying office equipment. I was known as dependable and generous. Family members, friends, and colleagues often leaned on me for help, advice, and support. I carried their burdens willingly, believing that loyalty and sacrifice would keep us united.

Because of that belief, I trusted deeply. I shared my plans, my finances, and my personal struggles with people I loved. I defended them when others questioned their intentions.
