My name is Andrew Kiplagat, and I live in Kapsoya, Eldoret, in Uasin Gishu County. For most of my adult life, betrayal and misfortune followed me like a shadow. No matter how hard I tried, things always collapsed at the last minute. Jobs failed. Friendships broke. Relationships ended painfully. People I trusted turned against me without warning. I started believing I was cursed, because nothing good ever lasted in my hands.
I grew up struggling, but I was hopeful. After college, I got a job in a construction company in Eldoret. Within a year, I was fired after being falsely accused of stealing materials.
