James, a 32-year-old Uber driver, had just finished a busy morning shift when he received a high-paying ride request. βI didnβt think much of it,β James said. βThe passengers seemed normal, and the amount they paid was above average. I was happy, thinking it would be an easy day.β However, his optimism was short-lived.
