I never expected the words to hit me like a punch to the chest. I had thought our relationship was strong, filled with love, passion, and shared dreams. I trusted her, cared deeply, and imagined a future together. Then one evening, in the middle of what I thought was a loving conversation, she looked at me with cold eyes and said, “Tom, you are a 1-minute man and I don’t love you.” The words were harsh, humiliating, and crushing.
For days afterward, I could barely think straight. My confidence, my sense of worth, and my identity seemed to unravel in an instant.
