Baby Girl I Found Hustling in the Streets is Now Threatening to Dump Me After I Opened Her Own Cab Business

I never imagined that helping someone could come with so much drama. It all started about two years ago when I met her—a young, hardworking girl barely scraping by in the streets of Nairobi. She was just another face in the crowd to most people, but something about her energy caught my attention. Every morning, rain or shine, she was hustling—selling snacks, doing odd jobs, and occasionally running errands for people in the neighborhood. Despite her tough life, she had this spark, a determination I couldn’t ignore. I remember thinking to myself, “If she had the right opportunity, she could change her life completely.”

I got to know her slowly, buying small things from her stall and offering advice whenever I could. Soon, we developed a rapport, and she began to open up about her struggles—her parents were no longer in the picture, she had younger siblings to take care of, and most importantly, she had dreams far bigger than the street could offer her.
