I never thought I would live to witness such humiliation and fear at my age. When I went into labour, neighbours gathered as usual, curious and supportive. But the moment the baby was shown, screams filled the compound. People ran. Others froze. Word spread instantly that I had delivered a baby with cow legs. Within minutes, my home turned into a scene of panic and accusations.
I was confused and weak, unable to even sit up properly. From where I lay, I could hear people arguing outside, some saying I was cursed, others claiming witchcraft was involved.
