Couple reunites after consulting traditional love specialist

A couple from Vihiga has reunited after a prolonged separation that had left family members worried about the future of their relationship. The pair said constant misunderstandings and unresolved resentment had pushed them apart, forcing each to live separately for several weeks.

According to the woman, communication had completely collapsed, with every attempt to talk ending in blame and anger. β€œWe were not listening to each other anymore. Everything felt heavy and tiring,” she said.

Relatives said efforts to reconcile the couple through family meetings failed, with both sides remaining emotionally distant. One family member said, β€œThey loved each other, but pride and pain stood in the way.”

Reunion surprises relatives

The man said the turning point came after he sought guidance aimed at restoring emotional balance and clarity. He explained that the process helped him reflect on his actions and calm his reactions.

β€œI realised I was fighting to be right instead of fighting for peace,” he said. β€œThat is when I decided to reach out again.”

The couple later met privately and held their first calm conversation in weeks. The woman said the tone was different from before. β€œWe talked without shouting. That alone felt like a miracle,” she said.

Neighbours said the reunion caught many by surprise, especially after the couple was seen returning home together. One neighbour said, β€œWe had accepted they were done. Seeing them together again shocked us.”

Love guidance perspective

Speaking on reconciliation, DR Kashiririka said many couples separate due to emotional overload rather than lack of love. β€œWhen emotions are balanced, understanding returns naturally,” he said. β€œLove guidance focuses on restoring calm so people can hear each other again.”

He added that reconciliation requires effort from both sides. β€œNo guidance works if one partner refuses responsibility,” DR Kashiririka said. β€œPeace demands humility and patience.”

Relationship counsellors say such cases highlight the importance of addressing issues early before resentment builds. They also urge couples to seek solutions that promote dialogue rather than conflict.

The reunited couple said they are now taking time to rebuild trust slowly. β€œWe are not rushing anything. We just want peace and respect,” the man said.

The woman added that the experience changed her outlook on relationships. β€œI learned that love needs guidance, patience, and honesty,” she said, noting that the journey back together was not easy but necessary.
