A married couple in Migori is confronting a painful reality after a hidden affair came to light following what the husband described as a faithfulness focused intervention. The man said long periods of suspicion and unanswered questions had created emotional strain in the home.
He explained that his wifeβs routines had changed, with late nights and unexplained phone calls becoming common. βI tried to ignore it, but my peace was gone,β he said. βI needed clarity, not drama.β
Truth surfaces
According to the man, the truth emerged gradually after he sought guidance aimed at revealing honesty rather than confrontation. He said his wife later admitted to being involved with another man, bringing months of uncertainty to an end.
βShe spoke freely and accepted responsibility,β he said. βAs painful as it was, I finally understood what had been happening.β
Relatives said the confession was emotional, with elders stepping in to prevent public conflict. One family member said, βIt was difficult, but it was better than living in suspicion.β
The couple has since agreed to take time apart as discussions continue, with children placed under the care of close relatives to shield them from tension.
Guidance perspective
Speaking on such situations, DR Kashiririka said faithfulness guidance is often sought when trust breaks down. βThe purpose is not to punish anyone,β he said. βIt is to bring truth into the open so decisions are made with clarity.β
He added that honesty is essential for healing or separation. βA relationship cannot move forward while living in denial,β DR Kashiririka said.
Marriage counsellors say many couples delay addressing suspicion until emotional damage deepens. They urge open dialogue and responsible mediation once truth emerges.
The man said he is now focused on protecting his peace of mind and making careful choices. βTruth hurts, but it also frees you,β he said, noting that whatever outcome follows will be guided by honesty and dignity.
