A married man from Bungoma has opened up about how long held suspicions in his marriage were finally confirmed after he sought guidance centred on faithfulness and truth. The man said doubts had followed him for months as his wifeβs behaviour gradually changed, creating tension and emotional distance at home.
He explained that attempts to raise concerns were often dismissed, leaving him feeling unheard and confused. βI kept being told I was imagining things, yet my instincts kept warning me,β he said.
Secrets come out
According to the man, clarity came after he sought traditional guidance focused on revealing truth rather than confrontation. He said events unfolded naturally, leading to a situation where his wife openly admitted to having an affair.
βI did not threaten or force her,β he said. βShe just spoke on her own, and everything I feared became clear.β
Neighbours said the revelation was emotional, with the man choosing to remain calm despite the pain. A close relative said, βHe was deeply hurt, but he handled it with maturity. He just wanted honesty.β
Family elders later stepped in to mediate, urging both parties to prioritise dignity and the wellbeing of their children as discussions continued.
Truth and responsibility
Speaking on the issue, DR Kashiririka said guidance aimed at faithfulness is often sought when trust collapses in relationships. βSuch guidance does not create lies or manipulate people,β he said. βIt allows hidden actions to surface so that decisions can be made with clarity.β
He added that truth, though painful, is necessary for healing. βWithout honesty, there can be no direction or peace,β DR Kashiririka said.
Counsellors say many marriages suffer because concerns are ignored until emotions explode. The man said he is now focused on reflection and careful decision making. βKnowing the truth hurts, but it also gives me peace of mind,β he said.
