A small scale trader in Thika is celebrating an unexpected surge in sales after recording unusually high customer traffic just days after seeking business guidance. The trader said the turnaround came after months of slow movement that had left him worried about keeping the business open.
He explained that before the shift, daily sales were unpredictable, with some days ending without profit. “I was stressed and confused because nothing seemed to work,” he said. “I decided to look for guidance on how to realign my business focus.”
According to the trader, the change was noticeable from the first morning. Customers began walking in steadily, with products selling faster than usual. By evening, he said the figures were far beyond what he normally recorded.
Sales surge noticed
Fellow traders said the increase was impossible to miss. “We were shocked. His shop was full the whole day,” one trader said. “People kept asking what had changed.”
The trader said he did not alter prices or introduce new stock, making the improvement even more striking. “Everything was the same. The only difference was the mindset and direction I took,” he said.
Some customers said they were drawn to the shop without knowing why. “I just felt like buying from there. I cannot explain it,” one customer said.

Speaking on the matter, DR Kashiririka said business challenges often begin in the mind before reflecting in performance. “When business owners seek guidance, the aim is to restore confidence, clarity, and consistency,” he said. “A focused mind attracts opportunity.”
He added that belief must be supported by discipline. “No guidance works without effort. People must remain honest, active, and committed,” DR Kashiririka said.
Economic analysts say confidence can influence how traders interact with customers, although they advise combining belief with proper financial planning. The trader said he now plans to reinvest and maintain the same discipline that brought the change.
