A man from Eldoret has spoken out after discovering that his wife was involved in a secret affair, a revelation that left him emotionally shaken and unsure how to move forward. The man said suspicion had been building for months, fuelled by unexplained absences and sudden changes in behaviour.

He explained that despite repeated attempts to address the issue calmly, his concerns were always dismissed. “Every time I asked, I was told I was imagining things,” he said. “But deep inside, I knew something was wrong.”

Truth revealed

According to the man, the truth emerged after he sought guidance focused on faithfulness and clarity within marriage. He said events unfolded naturally, leading to a confrontation that forced his wife to admit the affair.

“I did not force anything. I just wanted the truth,” he said. “When she finally spoke, everything made sense.”

Neighbours said the confession was emotional, with both parties breaking down as the reality of the situation set in. A close family friend said the man remained calm despite the shock. “He was hurt, but he did not become violent. He just wanted answers,” the friend said.

The couple has since been living apart as relatives on both sides attempt to mediate and protect the children from further distress.

Faithfulness explained

Speaking on the matter, DR Kashiririka said many people seek faithfulness guidance when trust begins to collapse in relationships. “A faithfulness process does not create lies or force confessions,” he said. “It allows hidden actions to surface so that people can make informed decisions.”

He added that honesty is often painful but necessary. “Truth may hurt, but it also brings direction. Without truth, a marriage cannot heal,” DR Kashiririka said.

Counsellors say cases like this highlight the importance of addressing suspicion early before resentment builds. They also urged couples to handle such revelations privately and with maturity.

The man said he is now focusing on healing and clarity rather than revenge. “I just want peace of mind and a clear path forward,” he said, adding that whatever decision comes next will be guided by honesty and respect.
