It was supposed to be a normal Friday night drinks, laughter, and catching up with my best friend, Kevin. We had been friends for over fifteen years, more like brothers than just buddies. He was the godfather to my firstborn, the man I trusted with everything, even my house keys. What I didn’t know was that the same friend I called “brother” had been secretly sleeping with my wife for months, right under my nose.
Looking back, the signs were there, but I ignored them. My wife, Lydia, had started dressing up even when she was “just going to meet a friend.” She’d spend extra hours on her phone and always smiled mysteriously at random messages.
